Bachelor of Science in Child Studies-Online/On Campus
The Bachelor of Science in Child Studies at Post University is a multidisciplinary program designed to prepare students for careers in early childhood education and child development. The program combines academic knowledge with practical learning experiences, helping students build the skills needed to support children's growth, learning, and development from birth through eight years of age.
The curriculum integrates key concepts from the social sciences, humanities, and behavioral sciences with early childhood education theory and practice. Through hands-on activities and supervised field experiences, students gain valuable experience in creating engaging and developmentally appropriate learning environments for young children.
Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the program reflects nationally recognized standards for quality in early childhood education. Students learn about the developmental stages of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and children through third grade, including strategies to support both typically developing children and those with diverse learning needs.
Coursework focuses on effective teaching practices, curriculum planning, child assessment, and creating healthy, respectful, supportive, and stimulating learning environments. Graduates develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to foster positive learning experiences and promote children's academic, social, and emotional development.
